active display slow response time?

has anybody else's active display response time went down? i have recently noticed that it would sometimes take half a second or longer for active display to show the clock/notifications. previously, it would immediately activate. :/

The colder the display, the slower it works. Could that be your problem? Using it outdoors? (The screen is exposed, so it cools pretty fast.)
