Okay, so just out of curiosity, does the adaptive brightness and then drain any more battery versus turning it off and manually lowering the brightness all the way down to 30 to 35 percent? Thank you.uploadfromtaptalk1438320634653.jpg

With Adaptive brightness set to on or off for any length of time....you can go to Settings/Battery.....see Screen showing percentage of battery used......tapping on Screen will present further usage details......you can then compare your findings for "on" and "off".

Well yes I realize that but does anyone here know if turning adaptive brightness off saves anymore and battery

I havn't done my own comparitive test.....I've had " Adaptive" on since getting the phone....all I know is that the percentage has remained low.

All adaptive brightness does is intelligently set the screen to a level to your liking. If you like it brighter than the median value, it'll keep it slightly brighter as the screen adjusts... Or darker. I doesn't increase battery usage in and of itself.

Gotcha I figured as much

My battery life has been better since I turned it on a couple days ago but I usually have my screen set to 100% so that is most likely why it improved.

Wait I'm sorry, what did you do? How did your battery life improve with the screen at a hundred percent brightness?

I think he meant that it had improved now that he has Adaptive Brightness enabled (rather than just running the thing at full throttle)

Yep. That's what I meant.

Àh ok. I mean right now my brightness is at 30%. That's it.
