How do I go about adding music and movies? Do I need to transfer them to the SD Card, and then insert that into the Droid, or is there a way to load it directly to the card through the Droid?

Pull your notification bar down and click where it says "USB Connected" then click "Mount"OK, I feel like a real itiot. I've plugged my Droid into the PC via USB, yet can't seem to find the drive. What is the stupid noob missing?
Use iPod converter to save disk space for sure.ok, can i drag any file size movie over to the folder "movies" or should i put the size down with the ipod converter
After using something like handbrake to convert video files to H.264 (MP4) format you can then drag and drop the file directly to the Droid's mounted drive. Android OS will figure out the rest and place the files in appropriate folders. In fact, the droid will read any media that is placed into any folder within the Droid's file structure, so long as it is file format the phone recognizes.
Just use the wire that came with your Droid to load it up as a drive. Once in the drive, create a new folders like this:
Media
In that folder create:
Audio
In that folder create:
Alarms
Notifications
Ringtones
Music
Now you can freely drag and drop whatever you want into those folders.![]()
Wow. this was really helpful. thanks a ton. It does take a LONG time to move music though. i did something like 6 gb and it took about 25 minutes or so.
