So can I have Advanced Calling 1.0 for my phone now since they launched it?

It says that the Maxx has the feature.

Please☺

This was kinda funny. My chat with Verizon. Apparently they didn't make them aware of the new feature.

I hope you’re having a great day! My name is Sophia. How may I assist you?
John: Hi. I'm trying to figure out how to add Advanced Calling, but I don't see it listed in the Change Features page
John: hello?
Sophia: Hello may i ask what you mean by advance calling?

And the other half of the conversation...

John: Its a new feature launched by Verizon
John: Search "Advanced Calling" on the verizon page and it comes up. It suggests that you can add it from the Change Features page and give a link to the page, but then I don't see if listed there
Sophia: May i ask what kind of phone do you have?
John: Droid Maxx
Sophia: i only see the LG G@ and Samsung Galaxy S5 and ne Iphone 6 and 6plus has it
John: Hmm... let me look
John: I went here: Advanced Calling 1.0 - Verizon Wireless - Verizon Wireless
John: and then clicked on compatible phones, which, well, seems to have taken me here Smartphones | Verizon Wireless
John: which I think is every phone you have. Might be a glitch in your system
Sophia: Thank you for holding i went to the website and clicking on th compatible devices i show that it just takes you to all the smart phones and not actually the phones that have advanced calling, this is a feature that is access from the device so this will not have to be a featured added
John: What do you mean accessed from the device? As in, its something that is just automatically added to compatible devices?
Sophia: Yes this is a feature that is built into the device yes
John: ok. Thanks for looking into it
Sophia: And i am showing that the only devices that have it is the 4 that i named, but one more moment i am looking at your device to see what all capabilities it have.
John: Thanks
Sophia: No problem ok after looking at your devices equipment guide it do not have the advance calling feature the only devices that have the feature is the LG G2 and Samsung galaxy 5 and Iphone 6 and iphone6 plus, i do apologize for the inconvenience or the confusion

Thats funny if the LG G2 can do it and the LG G3 can not. I have a Galaxy S5 that it is enabled on. On my Maxx and LG G3 it does not seem to be available...maybe I'm just missing the setting.

Advanced Calling (AKA VoLTE, AKA HD Voice) will be enabled on our Maxx's through a software update which should drop in the next few weeks, but we can't enable it online or through Customer Service yet. I've just spoken with two Verizon reps, one of whom was very high up and spoke with someone at Motorola during our call. The wheels are turning, so this feature should appear both on myverizon.com and on our phones soon.

Advance calling 1.0 will be available for the Maxx, Ultra and Mini on 10/17/14 according to Verizon service representative

JMHO

It should be available(the update) for the masses in the next few days.

I checked my Verizon account on line this morning - Advanced Calling 1.0 is now showing as available. Given that there appears to be a soak test ongoing, a phone software update will also be required, I believe.

Yes you will not see it on your phone until you have added to your features from your My Verizon page.

Once you add the feature it won't show up until the next day. At least that's how it worked with me through Verizon. But the HD call is crystal clear.

Nope... I added it today and within a few seconds it was there. OBTW when you add the advanced calling it will cancel your voice mail and add the visual voice mail. A few seconds after I added the VoLTE I got a message on my phone to setup my new voice mail.

I'm part of the soak test and I'm REALLY confused about most olf this. First, let me just say that as far as I can tell there is no place to report anything on the Moto feedback closed network. I've logged in and there are no threads dealing with this update that I can find. Yes. I've followed the link in the email.

Now, the update installed without problem. I added Advanced Calling 1.0 to my account. Now what? I mean really? Is there an app that access Advanced Calling 1.0? On Verizon's website it shows video calling. When I open my dialer, that isn't an option. It's the same old dialer.

Anyone else get the update that knows what to do and how to do it?

You just added the feature on your Verizon account right? If it does not show up by tomorrow then something is wrong. Just give it a day. I know when you add features to your Verizon account it takes a day for it to take effect. Some people are much lucky them others.
