you all need to move your apps to sd card. i've never had to do a cache clear or any type of wipe.
Do you really think we're collectively too stupid to know to move apps to the SD card? Please.
I've been meaning to update here for a few days, but it's getting worse. I have moved everything that is moveable, uninstalled apps I'd rather not toss, cleaned caches and data as much as I can (nuking Facebook makes it useless and it just comes back), and it still pops up that it's running out of room. I had more apps installed under Froyo and rarely ran into these problems. G'bread has been a disaster and I can't see how to fix it short of sacrificing apps I would rather not.
Here are my Top 10 apps in size:
1. Google Reader - 12.79MB - 10.6MB is data. Clearing it is temporary.
2. Adobe Flash Player - 11.96MB - All app, no data. Deleting it means I may as well have bought an iPhone.
3. Contacts Storage - 11.82MB - All but 628KB is data. I kinda need my contacts, you know?
4. Google Maps - 10.55MB - All but 48KB is app, so it's other suck it or cope.
5. Gmail - 9.29MB - 7.26MB is data. Again, deleting that is a temporary fix and I'll just have to re-add my accounts.
6. Seesmic - 8MB - 3.96MB of data which would just come back.
7. Shopkick - 7.89MB - 2.76MB data. A new addition which I could toss, by why should I have to?
8. Kindle - 7.18MB - Only 284KB is data.
9. Android Market - 7.03MB - Only 164KB of data and it's non-removable and you wouldn't want to.
10. Facebook - 6.94MB - 2MB is data.
That's roughly 92MB of apps that aren't movable or have data that shouldn't be dumped or will just come back. The next 10 apps I have - The Weather Channel, Handcent, Dolphin HD, SwiftKey X, Shazam, Lookout, Quickoffice, Google Voice, Pocket Casts, HTC Sense - are about 50MB more and the only one that can be moved to the SD card (Dolphin) has been moved. I have almost 140MB of space that I can't clear without making my phone much less useful.
