after last firmware update LG G5 is stuck in Boot Loop

So after the last firmware update my LG G5 is stuck in Boot Loop where it gets passed the LG logo and then keeps going back to" android loading please dont turn off your phone " and reboots. I know I will probably have to do a factory reset but I wanted to know if there was a way to find and backup some local folders. I have SDK installed and the LG Usb drivers on my laptop, any ideas?
