After Update, Google Assistant defaulting to text input

After installing the update this morning, Google defaults to text input even though I have voice input preferred. This also is happening when I hold down the home button to activate Google. Has anybody found a fix to default back to voice? I have the T-Mobile version. Thanks

For home button go to setting>apps>default apps at the top tap>default digital assistant tap>choose none

I'm not clear how voice input is turning in texting , you using Samsung or Google for voice to text?

To find these setting go to setting>general management> show me what enabled there

If you switch to the Beta Google app, the problem goes away.
