Air Command greyed out after Marshmallow update

try this
go to settings/accessibility /vision /voice assistant /on
used it for few minutes in that setting
than restarted the phone
than put voice assistant to off
voila air command started working

THIS method actually fixed the grayed out Air Command settings AND the pen works again! I had to go back into the settings for Pen Detachment and choose Air Command. That choice wasn't there before but it's back. Amazing!! How in the world did you figure that one out!? I went to Best Buy today after talking to Samsung and they flashed the OS but that didn't make a difference. Turned away to contact Samsung again. Decided to search Android Central again. I am so happy you figured this one out! Maybe someone should tell Samsung how to fix it! Unbelievable but so COOL!!! Thank you SO much!!

for my Galaxy Note 4, it works like magic. I lost my air command menu after upgrading marshmallow. I followed below steps:

1. Take out s pen
2. Go to accessibility
3. follow vision
4. Switch Access - On then Off
4. Hover zoom - On then Off
5. Click s pen button keeping it over the screen - - I got my air command menu back.

please let me know if it works for you or not.

thank you very much

I did as you mentioned and that worked

my mobile is not 4 :

setting \ Accessibility \ vision \ switch access on, then off \ Hover zoom on then off.

go to S Pen

please note : Detachment option has to be set with Air command

Appreciations for all

Found a solution!

- remove s pen

go to
Accessibility
Dexterity and Interaction
Universal Switch (turn it on then select add switch)
Select Accessories then hover the s pen and click the button.

Works like a charm for me.

OMG!! I've been searching for a solution to this since 2 updates ago! I can't believe this worked. Thank you sooooo much for posting this!!

I thought this suggestion was a joke also but I had tried everything else. I turned on "voice", rebooted, turned off voice and air command was back. Who would have thunk it?

At this step "Select Accessories then hover the s pen and click the button.", did you mean click the button on S-pen ? When I'm clicking on S-pen button, it opens "Air Command" manually and nothing happen on my phone ?
Can you explain more ? I like the S-pen so much but it has too many errors on Android 6.0 Y.Y

Air command no longer works when I take the s pen out. If I go into settings, air command is greyed out and won't let me turn it on. Any suggestions ?
Thanks
