Airplane mode on Galaxy Note

Is it possible to receive SMS messages on airplane mode on a Samsung Galaxy Note?.

I don't think it's possible to do anything involving any sort of wireless communication while in airplane mode. Maybe Bluetooth, but, not really sure. Not that that would get you SMS, just wanted to add that caveat.
