AKG heaphones are not good

Here's how the headphones that come with Samsung's Galaxy S8 compare to Apple's EarPods

Samsung Galaxy S8 earbuds vs. Apple EarPods: REVIEW - Business Insider

Mav.

P.S. I did not write it, I just report it.

Pretty good article. The one thing I've been thinking about the earphones is his final 2 sentences "If you’re coming from an older iPhone or Galaxy device, enjoy the upgrade. Here’s hoping this trend continues." I truly hope it starts a trend and they try to outdo each other with each upgrade. :) We win!

I miss my Bose (thanks to my dog, I had no idea he could get up on a counter high table ) but this is the first pair of earphones that I did not stuff back in the box. I don't use them a lot as I prefer BT. I consider them a nice bonus with this phone.

Back to your link, the best part of all was the final video of a man testing the wireless AirPods. I really enjoyed the laugh at him trying to shake them out! :D

Re: What brand are the AKG headphones?

The mp3 sampling rate also effects perceived quality. Higher quality headphones and earbuds won't make a low quality mp3 sound better. In fact, they will seemingly sound worse because previously you were using lower quality headphones or earbuds.

With mp3 files, it's 320kbps bit rate or nothing. When I rip music myself I rip it as FLAC for lossless and again at a variable bit rate (but very close to 320) using the LAME codec. That way I got high quality mp3 files for compatibility. With streaming music, first thing I do once app is installed is go into settings and set bit rate for highest offered. I never mess with anything less. If for some reason I'm in area with weak signal and can't stream high bit rate, I'll switch to local files or just stop the music.

Change your ear tips for the extra big ones from S6 box contents. The bass improves a lot! Now the earbuds are working so fine.

Still better sounding than any beats headphones lol (i know i know bad idea to say this ahah)

more seriously though they do lack bass and are not MADE by akg just "tuned" you can easily get better sound from them by adjusting Eq settings or like most people just don't use em unless you have to lol. Personally, my 100$ headset (hyper x cloud II) sound much better than these, so do i think they're worth 100$ nope but do i think they still sound good considering they're included for free ? YES totally i'd still use em if my bluetooth headphones have no charge and i want good isolation as earphones usually seal your ears good enough imo .

I'm not having any problems with my AKGs. I like them better than the old white ones they use to provide. On the old ones the rubber tips always fell off.

THAT was incredibly annoying, kept losing the covers, including getting them stuck in my ears a time or two. Went back to the ones that came with my S4, which are still in excellent condition.

Now the AKGs are my go-tos, I like the way they fit and sound.

Ha ha ha thought I was the only one who got them stuck in the ears. I did the same...I went back to the GOOD pair.

But, there is literally NO bass. It doesn't matter what you compare it to when the level of bass is zero.

No, everyone's taste is different. I hear plenty of bass, maybe you need to shove them a little more into your ear, mine do seem to come loose frequently.

You must have gotten different earbuds then. There is absolutely no bass and, like mgbosshogg says, they're very quiet. You have to turn the volume way up to hear them. They're the worst earbuds I've ever gotten with a phone and probably the worst earbuds I've ever had. They just sit in the box. I want to give them away if someone will take them.

I think they sound excellent for a thrown in pair of ear buds. much better than any other phone ear buds I've had and better than my bears ear buds as well. the only thing I have that sounds better are my Jaybird freedoms but they are $200 ear buds. I'm happy with them.
