7 days from the day after I requested it on august 28th.

UPS just delivered the free earphones. I'm like who the heck is stopped in front of my house with a budget truck and then seeing it's the UPS guy. Guess they ran short of UPS trucks

Same here requested last Friday and here today. However the ones I requested after the official link went up to submit is still pending. The one delivered was requested via text message chat with customer service.

Yeah....I don't know why I bothered to fill out the request. I was glad I used the chat the week prior so I got 30 dollar promo code. Who am I kidding though? I spent more money. I see what you did Samsung.

Me either... it gave me some confirmation stuff, saying effectively, that I was "legit" for the Program when I registered and plugged in my phone number and IMEI, then nothing since!

I'm trying to claim a free promotional wireless charging pad based on the Beans I got for free
I know it is slightly dishonest to do so but I've paid full whack for a couple of Notes in my time LOL

Yeah, back in the day, the carriers made all the decisions, but now, the handset manufactures are the ones that make these decisions.

Seriously though... for a $1000+ phone, why can't they throw in a silly paid or headphones?

When I asked them about why they don't throw in a pair of headphones, they flat out said it was a marketing decision. Not to cut pennies on the cost of the wired headphones, but to boost sales of the wireless ones. They said "We didn't include wired headphones because we feel the experience of the phone is better with wireless headphones and wish to encourage owners to purchase wireless headphones instead."

You know, this makes no sense. People are going to buy wireless if they are included or not. The decision to NOT include them make it so those that can't buy the phone AND the wireless at the same time scrambling for something.

Marketing gets crapped on all the time, and it may have been them, but the overall decision was higher up than marketing and it was just plain stupid.

Oh well. At least they are TRYING, let's see if they learn anything for the next big release of whatever they are going to release.

At the end it's not marketing it's more of a financial decision to increase the bottom line. Will everyone buy the wireless earbuds? probably not but that's not hurting them financially. They are still saying money by not including the earphones. It may be pennies per unit but at Samsung scale it'll add on.

I wonder how much they do save though when they are FedExing you a free pair upon request. I mean it is only FedEx ground, but I was shocked when I got FedEx tracking info from Ontario, Canada on them. I couldn't help but think about how many pairs of wired earphones included in the box it takes to equal FedEx shipping one pair for free.
