The stock alarm clock isn't loud enough. I have the volume all the way up and i sleep right through them. Didn't have a problem with the Evo alarm clock (well, sometimes i did, but it wasn't because I didn't hear it! ;) )
Wondering if anyone kneww a good LOUD alarm clock app that would let me use my custom made music ringtones for my alarms?

I wish I could sleep through my alarm! My mental alarm usually wakes me up before my phone does.

Surely you can download a louder alarm sound?

I use Gentle Alarm & like it alot

When I set an alarm, right there on the Create Alarm screen is a volume slider. The volume can be specified independently for each alarm this way. Make sure you have that volume slider all the way up in addition to your main volume.

Also try the different OEM alarm sounds. You may find one that is a more piercing noise that will wake you up despite a low volume.

As a final option, you can boost the db level of audio files with some freeware programs. Don't remember them because it's been a year or more ago for me, but I'm sure you can figure it out with a google search.

I do have all the volume levels turned up as far as they will go. Incoming call ringtone is loud enough, it's just the alarm volume. :(

How do I access the alarm?

On my Evo, all I had to do was touch the clock & the menu came up..

I don't even use mine as an alarm anymore because of the low volume. I never had that problem with my EVO either.

Disappointing.

I downloaded an ICS clock widget from the Market to get around that problem. I was disappointed that I had to, but it's a nice enough clock.

I use Fancy Widgets because it has a terrific 4x1 time/weather widget and tapping the clock on that is configured to go to the stock clock app, which is fine, but I agree the volumes are too low compared to the EVO. I'm using the exact same ringtones (copied them over) and while other sounds seem loud enough, they're too quiet here. Yes, I've made sure the volume is maxed.
