Album art showing in photo gallery after system reset

I had to reset my Motorola G7 Play after I jammed the storage by deleting some pictures. After I reset it and reloaded everything I installed my SD card and now in photos and all apps that access photos it sees all the album art in the Music folder on the SD card. I searched the forums and google and the suggestions say to add a .nomedia file to the music folder, then the music players don't show the music, so that's not a solution. It didn't do this before I reset my phone, so I changed something when I reset it and I don't know what I changed. It seems like I provided permissions to photo's to ALL folders on the SD card, but I want to only allow specific folders. How should I fix this?

Sorry, I haven't used an SD in ages and I have no experience in local music outside offline playlists from streaming services.

I'll search a bit and see if there is any specific setting to avoid that problem.
