AC Question

I read that i can turn on the camera when the phone is off. How do I do this? Thanks

Okay, and welcome as a new member. :)

There ought to be an icon present at the bottom of the lock screen. Tapping or swiping it ought to launch Camera. If the icon is not present, you may need to add it in Settings, Lock Screen.

Thanks, but I don't understand. If you are at the locked screen, doesn't that mean you have turned on the phone? I thought I read something about turning on the camera when phone is off by hitting power button twice, or something like that.

Hi again. That worked once and now does not work! I am talking about going from OFF to camera without turning on phone. Maybe I misunderstood and it doesn't do that.

I'm not sure that you can launch the Camera app without first switching on the phone....by which I mean, waking it from sleep, rather than switching on from a fully powered-down state. I'm not familiar with your particular device, so for all I know it may be possible. With some Nokia phones, for example, it can be done by pressing the camera shutter button, and the LG G4 as another example allows it to be done by pressing Power and Volume Down together.
It may be worth posting in the Alcatel Idol 3 Series forum.
