Hi Everyone,

I recently did a factory reset and flashed stock Android 2.3.6 back onto my Nexus S. Ever since I did that I have been getting an alert show up on my screen whenever my data connection is lost or restored. This is really annoying since I'm using JuiceDefender and my data is turned off everytime I put my phone display to sleep and it is restored once I unlock my phone.

The message pops up in the middle of the screen in a grey box that says "The connection to the Internet has been restored."

I never had this on stock Android before or on Cyanogenmod 7, does anyone know about this or if there is a way to turn off the alerts? Is this a new built in feature to 2.3.6?

Thanks

I am getting the same error messages on my Incredible S with 2.3.3. I haven't changed ROMs or added any new apps lately. This is so annoying as it displays the error message each time I wake my phone up too. I have searched all over the internet for a solution but can't even find anyone else who has experienced the same thing. I'm hoping someone will provide some guidance.

Glad I'm not the only one, I also can't seem to find an answer anywhere else. It's so annoying, I usually open up my phone to text and the stupid notification shows up right in the middle of the keyboard. This is probably the most annoying of my first world problems.

kazo0 -- any luck with this? I tried using another launcher to see if it was a launcher issue, removed most of my apps and still no luck. I then decided to call HTC directly - what a waste of time. They said it's part of the phone and I asked how that can be when I never got this before. Then he said it's part of the software 2.3.3+.....again, I upgraded in the summer and never had these messages until now. This is so silly and unbelievable that nobody else has experienced it?
