All about Incredible batteries (Replacements, Charging..ect)

I originally charged mine for just over 3 hours then played with it pretty heavily. Mine too got low so I charged it over night. Haven't had a problem so far this morning.

Try these things:

Turn off bluetooth if not already off
Turn off GPS if not already off
Turn off Wifi if not already off

Those 3 above can put some strain on your battery and after a few charges, you should/could see an improvement.

Also try to reduce your screen brightness between 10-40%, whatever isnt to dark for you.

Is GPS different from turning 'location on/off" ? I only ask that because the "my location" feature on google maps is horribly inaccurate unless thats turned on.

I charged my phone all night last night, so it was fully charged when I woke up. After using it frequently all day so far, the remaining charge is already getting low and the bar has changed from green to orange. I hope this is because it is basically a new toy and i have used it so much. Any one else experience this?

Give it a couple two or three charging cycles. Mine is much better thus far today than it was for the first two days.

Also, and this isn't a personal question... are you playing with it more now than you think you normally would?

One more thing. Tasks don't seem to release well in Androids. Go to the market and find yourself a task manager. I'm using "SystemPanel" or something like that.

I've had mine a week and I noticed that the battery gets a little better after a few days. Not sure if that is a Lithium batter thing or that my usage has declined (slightly), but I'm now able to go all day on an overnight charge.

QUESTION: Under settings/location, the first thing is "Use Wireless Networks" Do I want that checked or un-checked? And why?

The biggest cause for battery drain is how many background updates you are running and how frequently you are letting them update. I have weather (1 hour), facebook (2 hours) and twitter (2 hours) updating in the background. If you are looking for updates every few minutes your battery life is going to be short.

Looks like my Eris 1750 extended battery will fit... no harm?

I have a Seidio 1750mAh 3.7V battery that I used in my Eris. I looks identical except it is about 1mm thicker than the stock HTC battery. If it fits, I should be ok? Eh???

Incredible battery

So, i have been playing and downloading basically nonstop for the past 2 hours. My battery life is down to 50%. So Just out of curiousity i tried a battery from a droid Eris. It fits, and turns the phone one without trouble. The specs are the same, 3.7vdc, 1300mah, 4.81whr, but the part numbers are different.

My question being that they are the same size, and connections are the same. Will the extended battery that is out for the eris work in my incredible, or would it be a better deal to just buy another normal size battery and stand alone charger on the hope they bring one out.

Im running an eris battery in my phone right now. LMK how it works, and if it works for good. As I stated in another thread, my battery life was run down quick on a stock battery. Might be the first phone accessory i have to purchase.

I have a bunch of 1500mAh Touch Pro 2 batteries that fit the same way. The voltage matches and everything, I just don't know enough about battery technology to know if there's some internal cicuitry that causes it to be incompatible thus causing problems later on down the road.

Been using the Seidio 1750 all day today. Just got it yesterday along with my INC. Off the charger at 530 AM, its now 1 PM and Im at 60% and I have been playing with the phone all day. Also remember this is the first charge. So far, looking good.

What are the WHR specs?

you can also reduce the screen time out time. I have mine set at 30seconds instead of a minute. As much as Im picking it up and messing with it, it will all add up.

I got mine yesterday, out of 20hours running, it was awake for 14hours.
