All about Incredible batteries (Replacements, Charging..ect)

tpc:

I work in EMS helicopters. Have outlets on board but most are used for medical equipment. May be able charge on board but do not wish to count on it. Plus can't charge when shut down. VZW does well w/ towers here but may roam a bit. will watch for that. Thanks for the feedback.

Ahh cool, can see why it would be a problem then. Maybe do a *228 option 2 and make sure your prl is up to date which would help with the roaming issue.

I charge my device without issue when it is off.
Also, I charged my battery at 5:30 to about 90% last night and still have over half left this morning. wifi off, stock battery.

Off topic: Hey do you fly in BK117's w/ Air Methods or another Co.? I used to Repair / Overhaul and test run the LT101's for that helicopter @ Honeywell.

Those Batt's still haven't shown up. My buddy said it takes about three weeks +/- a few days. They're real hit and miss too. Some work like a champ and some just poop out quick. I got a 1600mAH for my Tour it worked great my friends was junk. Lol we got them in the same order.

Ping pong:

Off topic: Cant say who publicly but AC is AS350-B2. Inverter on board is pretty loaded up. Space at a premium. BK=I wish!

Wow 3+ weeks wait. hmm may need another option to hold me over

That's cool! A-star. B model good, D model bad.. death star.. Lol Yep I tested about 700 LTS101-750B1's and the newer LTS101-700-D2. 720SHP at standard day. If you ever have a engine problem PM me and I can probably send you in the right direction maintenance wise. (engine only). Always look at the air system when it comes to power problems. The entire fuel control system is air pressure controlled. I could go on and on about that engine. Lol PM me anytime..

Seidio said that the 3500mAH battery will be available soon. I was originally told by the end of the month, but I was told that the case cover is still in development yesterday. Argh!

The 3500 mA is around. Visit the back cover holding it up

I have seen the 3500mA around but is it the back cover that is holding things up? Also have seen a 2200 out there as well. I wonder how large you can go w the original back? 1750 or 2200? I wonder also if I remove the back and just kept the phone in its VZW silicone case how large I could go. Hmmm.

Off topic: I always said the patient relies on the medic and nurse, the 3 of us rely on the pilot to keep the greasy side down, but we all rely on the maintenance tech to keep us from becoming a $4 million lawn dart!

Thank you mods for bringing this back.

I tryed the Battery Left widget and it seems to just confuse me more and more by the day. It started off saying "rough" underneath the battery icon, moved to "moderate" yesterday, and today it says "accurate". It is still showing the estimated % even though I've told it not to, and the estimated % is 60% even though the system says 76%. It was 100% when I unplugged it over 3 hours ago, and I've done next to nothing...checked a few emails is all, and its at 76%.

The awake time is 5 hours or so versus 27 hours or so of up time. I charged the phone last night while on.

At this point I have to continue to think that something is not allowing a full charge on the battery when on. Its still only a guess, so hopefully some software update will correct it. Aside from that, a bigger battery is probably going to be the way to go, irregardless.

Has anyone bought the extented battery?

I was wondering if anyone has bought the extented battery. If so, is it really worth getting? Do you really get that much more battery life?

Im all for being helpful, but there have been half a dozen threads on this, including a sticky.

yes people have bought it, and yes it is worth it.

Well this says it all... I just had a chat with seidio and I was told it could be a few weeks to possibly a few months now for the 3500mAH battery. I asked if it was the battery door causing the hold up and her reply was yes. That and potentially other issues as well. I couldn't cut and paste the conversation otherwise I would have done that. Sorry..

I think I have a breakthrough on this topic!

I read here that the htc calendar app causes the incredible to never enter the sleep state.

If you go to Settings -> About Phone -> Battery you can see your uptime and awake time. If those times are the same, the phone has not been entering sleep. If you kill the Calendar app with a task killer like Advanced Task Killer, then press the power button to turn off the display, then turn it back on in a minute, you will now find the uptime is different from the awake time!

Kill the htc calendar app and that should help the battery.

I also read at the HTC support forum that the HTC facebook app was causing the same problem. As well as the flickr sync. I have yet to experiment with those.

Anyone else want to give this a shot and report success?

With the 1750 battery I have no difference from stock both last 6 hours and still take 4 hours to charge

I don't trust these third party battery companies. the last seidio extended battery I bought was for my Blackberry Bold and it turned out weaker than the original battery.

BIG difference! The stock battery got better over time, but barely made it through a full day of heavy use. With the 1750 I can get 2-3 days with light use, or easily a full day of heavy use (video, games, web surfing). Note: I toggle Bluetooth and WiFi on and off as needed, but could esaily leave them both on all day without issues.
