allowing specific apps access to 'Do Not Disturb' mode

I set my phone into 'Do Not Disturb' mode at night.

I'd created Starred Contacts to allow some people to reach me at any point.

However, if I understand correctly, this only works for some types of contact.

I would like, for example, starred contacts to ring through on apps like Discord.

How do I enable this?

Welcome to Android Central! You can select apps that can send you notifications through DND, but you can't select which specific contacts can do it through a 3rd party messaging app. That would probably have to be a feature of the app itself.
