Always on Display Picture

I remember on my note 8 I could add my own picture to the aod. I don't see that feature in the note 9. You can just add pictures from Samsung, not what's in your gallery.
 
I don't see any way to change the AOD background. Mine is just black, but my Note 9 is still on Oreo.
 
You can change the picture. It's the one with the rabbit.

But I can't invert colors like I used to be able to do.

You can do it in the gallery. Open a picture then tap the three dots and there is an option in the dropdown "Set as Always On Display image."
 
Just type always on display in the settings search and you can go from there. Once in, just go to click type, as your own picture and you're good to go.
