Mine seems fine. The whites are not as stark as those on my old HTC one, but it sounds like thats really more of a amoled vs LCD issue. They are warmer, sure, but not yellow. Otherwise build seems great, battery life is awesome (even lasts longer than a day roaming in the EU, never had a phone with a US sim do that before) and performance is flawless. I have had a few people tell me it's hard to hear me talk, but I have not experimented with that enough to know if it's the noise cancelling issue google is working on or not. I've been using mostly speaker phone and there it excels.
I do wish the speakers were as loud as my old HTC one, but I knew they would not be going in, so not the end of the world.
Also can't complain here however, I do believe people have been a bit more then generous regarding battery life. I know it differs depending on usage but I still find It average at best. Other than that this thing is the best Android device made to date in my opinion.

My is fine and I suspect that the overwhelming majority of 6Ps are fine. People with problems naturally seek out forums so there is an over representation of defective devices on any forum.
I get sites like AC and Reddit pretty much only voice the negatives with their devices, but I really haven't had any of the problems I've read about. That includes my phone, screen protector (Spigen), and microfiber case. I haven't noticed any discoloration in my display or issues with call quality. My screen protector went on smooth first try, and I have no problems taking screenshots with the case on.
Active display could be improved, and I'd love to see an update activate double tap to wake, but other than that, my 6p, which I've had for a little over a month now, is running perfect. Anyone else feel the same?
You have to realize that there is a minority of people that will only post when something is wrong. I'm sure the majority of 6p users are very satisfied.
Some people that are on the fence about purchasing an item will see a few negative posts, then think twice about getting it. Forums can be a bad place sometimes to get a real feel because the negative people come out in droves and pick forums as a place to vent. I go to Amazon due to the sheer # of reviews. Believe it or not, 5% to 10% of all electronic purchases are defective in some way. There's no such thing as manufacturing perfection. Considering how tight tolerances are, I'm surprised there aren't more duds.
