Am I the only one with a perfect 6p?

My is fine and I suspect that the overwhelming majority of 6Ps are fine. People with problems naturally seek out forums so there is an over representation of defective devices on any forum.

Physically mine is perfect. Once they fix the marshmallow Bluetooth issues, I'll be over the moon

Mine seems fine. The whites are not as stark as those on my old HTC one, but it sounds like thats really more of a amoled vs LCD issue. They are warmer, sure, but not yellow. Otherwise build seems great, battery life is awesome (even lasts longer than a day roaming in the EU, never had a phone with a US sim do that before) and performance is flawless. I have had a few people tell me it's hard to hear me talk, but I have not experimented with that enough to know if it's the noise cancelling issue google is working on or not. I've been using mostly speaker phone and there it excels.

I do wish the speakers were as loud as my old HTC one, but I knew they would not be going in, so not the end of the world.

Did you notice the good battery right away, or did it have to settle?

Also can't complain here however, I do believe people have been a bit more then generous regarding battery life. I know it differs depending on usage but I still find It average at best. Other than that this thing is the best Android device made to date in my opinion.

Mine doesn't last for a work day simply because I push it hard (multiple GB over LTE / high brightness / videos / etc.) but I can easily charge on a Friday evening and be fine till Sunday night / Monday morning. It really does depend on your usage patterns and also many other factors like what you sync, what apps you have running, and also (if not the biggest of all) cell signal strength. Someone with perfect strength will have amazing life whereas someone with a weaker one will cause the phone to fight for it more which means more drain (with similar usage patterns).

Agreed. When you go to a support forum, emphasis on support, you're mostly going to see the issues people are having with the device. Unless someone puts out a post like the OP, or someone asks if it's a decent device, mostly all you're going to see is the issues side of things.

Nope, the vast majority of them will have nothing wrong. Even most of the people posting about 6P's here are raving.

Had the scanner pack in briefly, factory reset and deleted twilight and it's been fine since.
I'm absolutely over the moon with this phone though. Battery life for me after the 5 has been a revelation. Love the speakers too.
Edit: and camera!

I get sites like AC and Reddit pretty much only voice the negatives with their devices, but I really haven't had any of the problems I've read about. That includes my phone, screen protector (Spigen), and microfiber case. I haven't noticed any discoloration in my display or issues with call quality. My screen protector went on smooth first try, and I have no problems taking screenshots with the case on.

Active display could be improved, and I'd love to see an update activate double tap to wake, but other than that, my 6p, which I've had for a little over a month now, is running perfect. Anyone else feel the same?

You have to realize that there is a minority of people that will only post when something is wrong. I'm sure the majority of 6p users are very satisfied.

Some people that are on the fence about purchasing an item will see a few negative posts, then think twice about getting it. Forums can be a bad place sometimes to get a real feel because the negative people come out in droves and pick forums as a place to vent. I go to Amazon due to the sheer # of reviews. Believe it or not, 5% to 10% of all electronic purchases are defective in some way. There's no such thing as manufacturing perfection. Considering how tight tolerances are, I'm surprised there aren't more duds.

Add me to the ranks of folks who have had no issues. I've like a lot of my phones over the years (starting with the Treo line) but never loved a phone like I do this one.

And, I can't envision going back to a carrier phone with all their fingerprints all over the OS and slow software updates.

First Nexus I have owned, and I don't think I will own any other type of phone again! This is by far the best experience I have had with a phone.

I agree and disagree with with what you said. I agree in that if you only base your decision on the negative posts, then yes that's bad. However, it's not a bad idea to see what issues people actually are having, because you might end up with a device with one or more of those issues. And if there are an overwhelming amount of people with an issue, that could point to a flaw inherent in every model of that device.

But you should always check more than just one place for information about a purchase. I usually check out the forums, tech blog reviews, and customer reviews on retail sites. That has always given me the most well rounded picture of what I should expect.
