Amazing how many Ex One owners are here

If you're wondering what the screen size is, it's 4.7".

Also, I've seen four in the wild. Interesting.

I always thought those Nexus phones had small screens, glad I stayed away and saved my upgrade to for the ONE. I hear that the Nexus also has good build quality.

Wait, what? The Nexus 4 has the same size screen as the One.

Are you serious? last year the GNex had a 4.65" display' nearly the biggest phone display at the time.

I'm one of those guys who switched from a One to an S4. The reason why I still visit the One forums is simple: I actually liked the One better overall.
Here are my cons for both devices:

S4:
- Lag, lag, lag :-( I hate the performance - the constant stutter is just plain annoying
- Flimsy build quality (I constantly fear the screen might break)

One:
- Stupid menu button in many apps (especially annoying in the Kindle App, which happens to be the app I use most)
- Low-res camera with only semi-decent image quality (I don't actually use the camera very often - so this one's just a "yours is bigger than mine" type of thing, really)
- USB-port isn't in the center (device doesn't fit in my car kit)

I might still switch back to the One (soonish, as long as I still get a decent price for the S4) - we'll see. ATM I'm using my iPhone 5 again because of the S4's performance issues.

Good insight zipro. I like the fact that you list the cons of both phones. Having only used the One, I have no insight on the S4, but happy with my ONe.

I have always wondered.. The menu button is in the app.. Is this how HTC really wanted it or is this an app issue?

I thought I read somewhere that HTC was complying with Google's future request.

So why did you switch to the GS4? I am thinking about making the move myself although I need to spend more time with both to determine which better fits my daily needs. I really like the HTC One but there are several things I would like to change.

I have owned both the One and now have S4. Gave the One to my son because he was familiar with htc and he loved their phones otherwise I would have kept it because it is a great device. Went with S4 just to get something different. I had sold my iPhone 5 to get the One. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. I still look at the One forum just to see what is going on with device. Both are great phones. I do have to say I love the android platform. I had previously had every iPhone and just wanted a bigger screen and was bored with ios.

I mainly switched because of the menu buttons that eat away the screen real estate. It's a minor thing but it constantly bugged me. In the end, it probably was less of a problem than the S4's lag. Although I have to say that the firmware update Samsung pushes this morning seems to have fixed it completely.

It was HTC's curious decision to exclude a menu key. It's one the my biggest complaints with the One. Owning both the One and the S4 there is simply no comparison as to which device gives you more screen real estate in a smaller lighter package. If that's important to the user.

Yeah its the HTC one obviously.
