Greetings - When I downloaded apps from the Amazon Appstore, they register to my account. How do I get rid of them from my account after uninstalling? Every time I go into the appstore now, it thinks I have those apps installed and wants me to update them, even though they're no longer installed.

Re: Amazon Appstore Issue

Hmm, good question. I've been wondering the same thing myself.

Update: I even logged into my amazon.com account figuring that there is a way to remove it from the computer, but to no avail. Weird. I mean, I've got apps that I decided to try, but I ended up not liking them, so I uninstalled. There's got to be a way to remove these apps from the list.

Re: Amazon Appstore Issue

I'm not sure, but I think this is just the way the Amazon app and store is set up. It's kind of like how the regular Amazon remembers what stuff you buy -- go to the page for something you purchased and it should tell you when you bought it near the top. I know it does for MP3s, and I think it's the same for everything else at Amazon. I think they're sticking with that system, and keeping track of every app you get, whether you install it, don't, or uninstall it. This may be a little annoying, and I know I'm seeing more reminders now than I used to. But it isn't really a bad thing, especially if you're getting the free app of the day. Those daily free apps are normally pay apps, and if they disappear from your list, you probably wouldn't be able to get them back for free again. So AFAIK, you can't remove apps from your Amazon list once you get them, but perhaps someone else knows more than I do and can help more.

Re: Amazon Appstore Issue

Issue resolved. I went into my account on amazon.com (on my PC), found the apps that were downloaded but not installed, and then deleted them. I then refreshed "My Apps" on my android's Amazon Appstore and the unwanted titles disappeared.

Thanks for the info, that's good to know. If you delete the app from your list on the Amazon web site, is it also removed from your purchase history? A little clean-up might be nice to do, but not if it means Amazon will lose my record of having grabbed all those free apps of the day. Thanks.
