Amazon Preorders....

Spoke with Amazon rep again earlier today, you're all not going to believe this, but they still don't know anything. I know, shocking stuff there. To their credit, all of the reps have been very polite and seemed genuinely like they wanted to help, as did the one manager I spoke with. Should anyone in upper management ever read this, please know that the real harm you have done to potential repeat customers is your decision to not give your customer care reps the info to successfully do their jobs.

"Thank you for calling Amazon Wireless. We believe buying a phone should be easy."

Holy crap thats funny.

I believe they know nothing. The real truth is the higher ups don't give a shat about distributing to Amazon, Wirefly, or other 3rd party online retailers first. They care only for the brick and mortar monopolys best buy and Walmart.

Now, maybe best buy, but Walmart? Screw Walmart! So a redneck dumb ass gets a phone before me by accident? Look maw, that phone is shiney like me bass lures! Thank I be getting one fer all me fakebook dealings!

Ridiculous.... Not to say rednecks don't need phones too. Y are we suffering for being ahead of the curve and ordering weeks in advance just because we ordered thru a "respectable" source?

You think they know nothing? You think that NO ONE at amazon wireless knows where those thousands of phones are? If you're the CEO of AW, you don't get ahold of that info? Please. And even if that IS true, release a message saying that sprint won't tell you anything, at least say SOMETHING. if sprint is willing to leave you hanging, feel free to return the favor.

I would defintley say this has been a fiasco at the least. I think this is the most bizzare release of a product that I have ever seen. It is almost like Amazon wished the phone never existed ....

I finally couldn't take it anymore...went to Walmart and picked up the one LTE they had in stock. I admit to being a little concerned about how the activation etc was going to go, but all went well. WM person even did the ESN swap with sprint for me before I ever turned on the phone.
Even better, I did call Sprint and told them I was about to do this and asked to use MY phone number with early upgrade (it will be eligible June 1..in the meantime I was using the upgrade on my wifes phone and then ESN swap)....they apologized but said they were no longer allowed to early upgrade Premier customers...BUT she waived the $36 activation fee! Cool.
$158 plus $12 tax and I have my phone! And just rooted it.

I don't think amazon is sitting on a thousand phones, no. If I was the CEO those phones would be in the hands of my customers so I could get their money...

Doesn't make a lot of sense as to why we don't have our phones yet either. Does it really make sense to hold everyone in the dark and hide the fact your sitting on phones? That's the dumbest thing I could think of doing as a business.

What the real truth is no one has a thousand phones to sell other than what is currently shipping and the ones just passing customs. If anyone could sell u a phone to make money they would. It's not an Amazon/Sprint/HTC conspiracy.

Yeah, they almost seem to encourage me to cancel the preorder. Its a little weird. If thats because they know they won't get them before July, just say so already! I'm not usually one to write off companies because I do enjoy saving a buck or two, but there is a real decent chance I'll never use them again. They could still make it right I suppose, but I sincerely doubt they will. I'm disappointed that I tried to do business with them.

I never said they had the phones. I don't believe for a minute they do, because even they're not that stupid. What I absolutely believe is that someone higher up in AmazonWireless does know where they are or roughly when to expect them, but thought it was a better business decision to just say nothing at all. He/She was mistaken in my opinion, and obviously that of most everyone else posting here. My point is that there is no way they know as little as they're passing along. Its not possible.

Yeah, if I can go on usps and track a package I'm sure they can too. Makes it frustrating when u think of it that way. It should be as simple as shipping some phones. In this case I think that they are having a lot of difficulty moving phones thru customs.

And if you have ever purchased items thru foreign countries, no tracking info exists. Even if it already hit the states u won't know until u receive it.

The likely way these phone are coming is thru shipping containers too tho. So, idk a lot about it other than season 2 of the wire. They should have confirmation of it hitting the states in that case tho. A truck driver could give the 411 on it for crying out loud.

Maybe they do know exactly where they are and this is just a backfire from their strategy to seem strong. Idk. Really just makes them seem weak in my opinion as well.

Wow! Really wish they put the attention into the phone as they do the stupid car charger. So nice to be bothered everyday to approve the delay in it. Where is it already, can't wait to get it?

Exactly...and if thats the problem they're having, they should just say so. "We know they left HTC on day X, but they haven't gotten to Sprint yet. As soon as they do, they'll be in our warehouse the next day, and out that same day to our customers" Not terribly difficult.

Actually at Walmart buying the only one they have. Can't believe it. Wow!

Bout to take it back to Walmart for a refund. Anyone want to buy it? $586. Exactly what I paid for it.
