anyone know if Wallyworld or Sams club waives the 36$ upgrade/activation like Amazon does? This is the only thing keeping my AmazonWireless preorder in...

Sprint charges u the fee. Don't believe they tried to charge me activation.

Sorry guys, I caved...went to walmart. i did get them to match bestbuys price of "$150", but the whole thing was a mess. I did get my phone, but their systems were having quite a hard time today. Nobody's fault really. Love the phone so far, but just getting into it really. Hope the amazon phones come through this weekend!
I have one reserved at best buy and Sprint today. I'm way over Amazon. Headed up to best buy right before it opens to be first one in. And I'm only paying $50 plus tax for it!
Patience is a virtue I guess. Went from 587$ to $50 in a day. I'm stoked. And best buy has them and my good friend said my name was on one hidden behind the virgin mobile crap. Glad he works there to get me ahead of the other pre-orders. That and I'm gonna be the first person in the store!

Haven't slept in 3 days I'm so stressed and irritated with this damn phone. Hopefully after today I will get some sleep.

I got the phone Thursday and barely have played with it. My job is killing me this week, working me like a slave lol. Anyway, wishing all my Amazon Pre-Order peeps a fantastic launch day. Anyone going to say eff the Amazon Pre-orders and go to BB or Sprint? I was so relieved to cancel my pre-order with them.

So I had an interesting experience today.
I'm on a corporate account, and as such, I have to buy the phone outright, i.e. without a contract. Well I went to two Sprint stores, and they wouldn't sell me the phone, because I wasn't signing a contract.
I called a nearby WalMart, and they had one. Went and got it. The manager at WalMart said it's "absurd" Sprint wouldn't sell it to me. I wholeheartedly agreed. But, at least I have the phone (finally!). I'm charging it currently, so I haven't been able to use it. But I look forward to it!. Amazon preorder officially cancelled.

I got an email today from a rep at AW that was following up on my order. She saw that it had been cancelled and still sent me the email to apologize again for the issues, but she did say they had gotten word that some of them should be in today, and more later this month...so hopefully for anyone else waiting, you'll have it by Tuesday.
That's good news. Please keep this updated anyone keeping their amazon order. I'm sure the peeps participating in this thread are interested in knowing when amazon will finally get the phones out.
Just now starting to update my old apps and everything. Phone is so sweet! Totally worth waiting for!

Well I just switched back to Sprint from Verizon Yesterday. If dumping Verizon for this Phone isnt convincing enough that its worth it, I dont know what is LOL. But nah, its tremendous. Ill tell you, I spent over 10hrs trying to get this thing all set up. I forgot that HTC Unlock existed (Been usuing Sammy lately) and rooted it, when i could have just used the Unlcok Method. Well i tried to start over, but the RUUs werent working for me at all. So when the RUUs were failing, my data and ALL were being wiped and didnt even realize it. Guess i got kinda over-excited LOL. But yes, I would DEF pay full retail for this. I dont think you'd be disappointed
The Amazon Wireless website now shows the Phone in stock and "usually ships in 24 hours". My order still shows July 3rd though. Crossing my fingers it will be shipped out today.

That makes two of us. My order status still says July 5th. I'm guessing we will have another update this afternoon.

Sent them a nasty gram earlier and got back am apology and that they were getting some in today and maybe just maybe my order might get and update today ...yes o said update not that it is shipped just updated..

Spoke to a rep and they said my order should ship out today or tomorrow. I received the following via email shortly after -
I've checked your order and see the item has been authorized for shipment, and will be leaving our fulfillment center shortly. I'm sorry for the long wait!

When I inquired about the charge on my CC, I got this reply just now. FINALLY!!

If you should have any problems activating your new phone please contact AmazonWireless before reaching out to Sprint.
