Ambient display not always working

Anyone else starting to see this? It works for a while and then when I look down at my phone it is off, like it is on a timer.

Hi, you verify no screen protector or case messing with proximity sensor? If so you try safe mode and monitor it .

Yes, I have no screen protector on it. It happens randomly. Right now all is ok.

Maybe adjust your screen timeout longer?

Check you sensors with one of the sensor apps in the Play Store. This is one of the symtpoms which a bunch of us have related to sensor failure. Is auto-rotate working? Are your other gestures working (such as when in camera mode - shake to selfie)? Is the panorama mode on your camera working? If they are, that would likely rule out sensor failure.

Ok, I shook it and completely lost my custom wallpaper. Not doing that again.
