AMOLED or LCD?

So back in June and July there were rumors about the Inc switching from AMOLED to LCD screens. I know there have been threads on this, but not for a while, and I'm wondering if anyone has noticed the screen type on their recently purchased Incredible? I ordered mine yesterday and am wondering what I'll get. Did that news end up just being for other HTC phones?

Any information is appreciated!

HTC went on the record to say that the Incredible woudl be exempt from the screen tech change. They all still have AMOLED.

I much prefer the AMOLED, to the LCD. I have both the Droid Incredible and Droid 2. The biggest downside to me with the Droid 2 is that it doesn't have AMOLED screen.

For what it's worth, I asked HTC customer service about the issue (specifically about the Incredible). They may have been confused about which models are/are not being equipped with what screen, but this is the response I got:

"I understand the importance of knowing what hardware your device is equipped with. As a course of normal business, HTC sources certain components from more than one vendor. However, all of these components undergo the same stringent testing and must meet all of HTC’s quality and performance specifications before being certified for use. Tested and approved displays have been sourced from two different suppliers which both exhibit virtually identical performance characteristics, and have both been in use. More than likely, a newer device will be equipped with the newer hardware, in this case the S-LCD screen. I hope we have answered your questions in detail."

Hopefully it's just a stock response and with someone who doesn't know which phones have which screens, but it's interesting to note anyways.

My GF got her incredible on thursday and it has an AMOLED screen not LCD and same hardware versions as mine and I had mine since late june

HTC hasn't announced that the Dinc, specifically, will get S-LCD treatment yet (failure to include the Dinc among phones that are getting it now is not equivalent to declaring that the Dinc will never get it). It could, and a lot of signs point to Verizon believing that the model will become available. But officially, the only phones currently being produced with it are the Desire and Nexus One.

Glad they haven't yet(switched from AMOLED) and hopefully never will.I compaired my Incredible screen to my DX screen and seen for myself the difference in the colors watching the same video .
