Andriod Samsung S20 FE - Timer Doesn't Work in the Background

[Android Central Question]

Alarms, say, alert me at 6am. Work as expected. They go off at 6am regardless of if I have the alarms/clocks app open as a window or not. Timers, however, only work if I have the phone unlocked and I have the clock app open. The moment I turn off the window, the timer stops. It does not run in the background like it should.

Welcome to Android Central! Any power-saving modes turned on?

As a workaround, you could use Google Assistant for your timer.
