Android Central Question

Hello,

I need to print documents from my Android, to remote printers “not in the local wifi network”. That is, the printer is, let’s say, connected to a WiFi network in New York and I am connected to WiFi in San Francisco. Is there a way to configure Mopria to print remotely this way?

Rgs.

Im not familiar with Mopiar, but there are a few ways to accomplish remote printing. You can use 1.remote desktop, 2.configure the phone but this will require access to the printing computer. Good luck

From Mopria's FAQ, about what you need:

"A wireless network connected to both the Android device and the printer"

So no.

You'd need to VPN or VNC to that LAN to print to that printer. I don't know of any other way to access a prnter on another LAN.
