Android 12 Beta 3 out. Features and Bugs.

This beta 3.1 update certainly didn't fix my Assistant issue. I did another bug report for it. I never had any boot loops.

Just had a random full phone freeze when I was using the camera. Never happened before. Had to hold the power button down for at least 20 seconds to reboot.

Android 12 Beta 3 Out Features and Bugs

My text message bubble color changed from light blue to darker blue. Kind of nice.
I checked gboard and no dynamic theme yet.

Same. Am beginning to wonder if it really exists. Maybe I’ll get it in beta 12.

I'm beginning to wonder if it depends on the Pixel phone model, that there is some sort of hierarchy in receiving these features.

I joined the gboard beta a few days ago to see if that would trigger anything but didn’t. Wondering if it makes a difference whether on the beta or not as to getting dynamic theme.

I still believe it does make a difference to be in the Gboard beta program versus not being on it. Unfortunately just a matter of time; just being patient unfortunately :-( That's the sucky part about everything!

I've been on Gboard beta for months. Sometimes I'll go back and forth. Nothing seems to speed things up.

Apples to oranges (pun intended) but that’s the nice thing about Apple. Whether it’s beta or public everyone gets the same thing as long as your device is about 5 years old or less. The beta community can chat about new features because they all have it.
If Google ever gets to the point of having this type of compatibility between devices it will make me very happy.

Hehe, yeah, absolutely.

Sweet new Nova beta7 update in play store. Gonna check and see if the reboot loop/app switcher freeze up issue is fixed.

After this update now I cannot dismiss missed calls from the Lock Screen, yikes! Was no problem pre beta 3.2 update.

As for dismissal of certain notifications, it is quirky for sure. I too have the same issue and know that Google is aware.

Actually that started with Beta 3. I'm (was) hoping Beta 3.1 would fix it.

Yeah, even if I press the clear all option on the notification screen everything but the missed call clears. Weird.

Yes exactly, this is not new. Started today with the update for me. I wonder how many others that didn’t have it now do.

What’s the solution for dismissing theses?

Go to the phone app in settings and do a force stop.

Just installed the new beta update. As others stated it took forever on optimizing apps. That's a long time to optimize apps for an update that's supposed to fix boot loop issues. I guess we have to trust that Googles software programmers know what they are doing.

I do Apps > Phone > Storage > Clear Cache > the force stop and so far has worked good. A few times force stop alone did not clear the missed call notification.
Just forced stop never failed so far. Either way works.
