I'm wondering if a reset is what it's gonna take for me to get my Pixel Buds to play nicely with Assistant?
Things are a lot smoother being set up straight into beta 4. And there are some tweaks in notifications for apps that are new. When you select silent for a notification you can choose to minimise it in the shade to a single line.

I reset my phone. Just needed to do a reinstall. Good news finally got the dynamic theming on gboard.
I assume doing a beta reset is as simple as doing a factory reset. It's been a decade since I last had to do that, and it wasn't a beta.

I mean don't get me wrong dude, I know it sucks horribly tired we set your phone, but I had to do that and Android 11 when my Google Assistant and my pixel buds wasn't working at all. Drove me nuts. However, I will say that once I reset up on my apps and reconfigured everything, and reset my pixel buds up, the Google Assistant played nicely and was normal within my pixel buds.

I'm not sure if this is just me, but in beta 4, pixel buds' Bluetooth connection seems much more stable and I haven't done any Bluetooth audio dropouts at all!

And you have done a reset, correct?

I'm running a Google One backup in preparing for a reset now ...

How did you download? Unable to obtain on my 4xl running Android 12 Beta 4.

Thanks. I am sure that it is rolling update as still unavailable here in Chicago.

Nah, I haven't done a hard reset on my phone or my Pixel buds while in Beta 4 or at all during the Android 12 Beta program at all.

I clicked on the play system link and did a search for update
I think that just brings up the regular system update screen. Either way I'm sure will work. Not seeing it on my Pixel 4a.

Word on Reddit is some are getting the security update. Might be 4.1.

Here's the one difference that I've noticed between AirPod pros, and pixel buds. When you have airpod pros inside of the charging case, you flip open the case, they instantly connect via Bluetooth to whatever device you're using. Versus pixel buds but you have to open the case, then remove the bud and put it in your ear for the Bluetooth connection to be made. Very interesting...
