I just created a thread that is more like a place holder for when 5 does drop. If it's 4.1 we'll just keep posting here.

So weird. My phone just rebooted and the play system reverted back to May from the September I had updated to the other day.

I think that was because the latest causes issues so it is a fix of sorts. I never got the September update of that one. Thankfully.

I wouldn't worry about. The buggy version seems to have been pulled and rolled back to the working version. It must have happened very quickly because some here never even received the buggy update.

After the update, I saw there was an update available in Play Store for the Google Pixel Buds app. Sure hope that fixes my issue using Assistant with them!
