Thanks kizzy, but no dice. The screenshot below shows what happens when I push my home button to roust the assistant. I asked what time it is and that's what I got. I get the same thing no matter what I ask a white box with the question coming back at me. I'll probably do a factory reset but I want to wait until the release candidate is out so I can take advantage of not possibly having to do it again. I can always go back to my iPhone although I'm not looking forward to that but I might if it gets too annoying. I'll just pretend like it's 2010 and I don't have an assistant on my Nokia, haha.
That isn't good. Does look like a bug with your particular phone then.

New Easter Egg now available. Turn the clock to 12 o'clock.

I had no sound
I have to apologize as I hadn't watched it yet and didn't realize this wasn't his full video or anything like what I was expecting. Actually I've seen this kind of video from him and it leaves me scratching my head. *

Here is the Beta 4 Features video from "9 to 5 Google". I did watch this one. In the beginning of this video he mentions future Beta 5 and 6. Hmm.

There is a major bug for those who use a VPN. On my Pixel 4a I use NordVPN and occasionally Google Fi VPN. When I use either one and checking using "Speedtest" it shows I'm connected to my internet provider, not a server located elsewhere. I have a server I use on NordVPN that my banking app works with. I know the server is located in California because Speedtest verifies it. Now Speedtest shows my internet provider and in state provider. I check both VPNs and the same location is shown. This means the two VPNs are not protecting. Might as well not use either for all the good it will do.
I've already submitted a bug report as I'm sure many have.

Downloading Beta 4 now. I hope it's a little more stable and I don't have to restart my phone every morning because the launcher freezes every night while I'm sleeping and becomes totally unresponsive. Come on Google, let's get the bugs squashed.

So, what I've noticed is that For screen animations in developer mode, .5X is still a bit broken, so you've either got to go no animations, or 1X. I think for now, I'm going to leave that setting at 1X because it's just soo much smoother. No animations means that the OS is janky, not smooth, and nothing feels fluid at all. Like I've said Voice typing with Google Assistant got more responsive, faster, more accurate; that's nice to see.

Reported a new bug this morning involving my Pixel Buds 2. If I'm listening to something, and long press to summon the assistant, it doesn't work. I get the signal that it's going to summon GA, but then it goes back to playing whatever I was listening to. I actually have to close out of whichever application (Google podcasts, or YouTube music) I'm listening to in order to get the long press to work again.

Oh crap, that is an annoying bug. That's for sure. Good call on reporting that issue.

You see I always had this problem with surfshark. I cancelled after my 2 year plan and they tried to convince me to stay. I told them I hadn't used it in over a year and wasn't wasting any more money on them.

This has nothing do with an individual app or VPN service provider. There are major complaints about this in Reddit. So it is a Beta 4 bug that I didn't have on any other beta versions, 11 or 12.

This is not a nice update. I use the one handed mode a lot on my pixel now it has it. So easy to use. But now it has this permanent tip printed up top. Don't like it.

Damn, arg that sucks. I tried using one-handed mode once on my Pixel 5... I don't really use it at all. My phone is soo small and easily ne-handable that it doesn't bother me too much..

I know that this work of Android 12 has always been in the betas, but it's really weird. If you have your alarm set, you also can't see them in the stash bar. You have to swipe down on any notification shaded in order to see if you have an alarm set on the phone.
