I'm fairly new to beta testing. Out of curiosity how do the monthly security updates apply to beta builds? Or do these only apply to stable builds?

I'm pretty sure that the security updates only apply to stable builds.

A Security update for the Beta build arrived last month. There should be a security update for each Beta version released.

There should be two updates per month for Beta. Or so it has been reported.

Yeah, my colors were working pretty well relating to the wallpaper color. Then changed for some reason and I have the pink also even tho wallpaper is blue and green , no pink or reddish hues whatsoever. Also the clock on the lock screen is white so another head scratcher. If I use a solid, one color wallpaper the clock changes correctly but the pink remains. More bugs to be worked out no doubt. I’m really liking the whole concept tho and looking forward to more updates.

OK, success maybe, I’m noticing my selections are defaulting back to white/pink in the style settings. I changes them to green and I’m now pink free and back to green. This may be happening on reboot, not sure. But my 4a is all good again. Check your settings

Another idea I've been doing when my auto-theming colors doesn't work with my wallpaper as I go into system gestures, and toggle between just navigation and three button navigation mode. That usually corrects the material you auto-theming issue.

Nah. I've tried that a few days ago. Doesn't work for me.

Now that’s pretty obscure, how the heck did you figure that out? Haha, another thing I noticed is using a to dark color tends to revert back to the pink or whitish pink. And whenever I swap out wallpapers I need to reset my choices in style as it reverts back to default.

Haha, yeah, you're telling me! I read it about it on Reddit sub form for Android beta. It actually works decently well so I can leave. As far as the dark mode, you're right. If you actually go back to light mode then the material you auto theming works a lot better. I've reverted back to light mode. Things about the OS just look so much better.

If I use one solid color it works well for me. I’m presuming you’ve tried that also?
Also check your style settings as mine change back to default every time I change wallpapers.

When I use the top one I get some yellow

When I use this other one I get green even tho it’s more blue.

But it won’t work at all if I’m stuck on the default style setting so I always need to reset that.
