Important PSA for people who were in the beta, Google hinted in a subreddit that they are doing another beta from December, most likely aimed at foldables and there is a window of opportunity to unenroll from the beta before December 1st once the stable release has been installed onto your phone, which was Tuesday's update.

You need to do this before December 1st otherwise your device will be wiped after this date if you opt out later.

Thanks for posting...I wouldn't have known otherwise

Kizzy,
I suggest you open a thread just for this. If people are used to being automatically removed from the beta programs when the public versions are released then they will expect the same for 12. This is a rather big change from before.
Glad you posted this.

Yep yep, thanks for posting that! I read that as well. My pixel 5 is still enrolled in the beta program so we shall see what happens in the future... Thanks again!

I did start another thread with the same info. I saw it in a Telegram channel and I also use Reddit. I thought it was very important to post it.

I'm going to have to leave the Beta program on my Pixel 4a since it will be my backup when my P6 Pro arrives next week. Then I'll sign up for the Beta program for it.

Good idea. I left with my 4a 5G. Will probably re-enroll when I get my 6 in the New Year

Lock screen is different seems to rotate between two different screens. Cannot do away with that at a glance BS at the upper left corner of the screen, cannot activate one-hand use, that is just a few of the problems with this so-called stable release.
Never had a problem with an update of android before, but this one is terrible.

I have never had an issue with one handed activation. I swipe straight down on the navigation bar at the bottom.

Same here. One hand mode works just fine. See screenshot.

Same here, although it took me some time to figure out the sweet spot to swipe. Once I found that, I've had no problems.

Possibly, we are talking about two different things. I'm talking one-handed mode as I assume is new in 12. And I cannot get the switch to go to the right to turn the feature on. Not sure if I will keep it on, but wanted to try it out.
Just another bug I have found in this so-called "stable" release.

The switch works for me. I just turned it on and off and back on again.

Just because others don't have problems does NOT mean others won't have a problem with the feature. I have numerous strange bugs with this OS. And all my years on Android phones never had an update for an OS that was as buggy.

If you don't use it just turn it off.

Yeah, I agree with you. I tried one-handed mode and Android 12 beta 3 or 4, but a just felt weird to me. Also, with the Pixel 5 being so small, you barely need one handed mode as a feature of the OS at all. I just turned mine off.

I do understand how frustrating it can be when you get an os update that's buggy, I've had my share in the past :( Plus they've made some changes that aren't for the better imho. When I started fighting my bad updates I just factory reset to start out fresh. I actually plan on factory resetting after every update just in case, and am very thankful when I don't have to :)

Actually, I did a factory reset and problems still exist. First time I have ever done a factory reset and first time I have had problems. Go figure!

Later today, I'll do another one, but this BS with this update plus what I read about makes me hope Samsung does a lot of changes to 12 that will actually make it better. Some of these changes I see are ludicrous. One feature, adding the date/time to the upper left, takes up valuable screen space; especially since it appears many still add the date/time/weather widget just below; thus removing one line of icons below. All due to some moron in googles basement deciding it would be good to have a duplicate of date/time on the main screen.

I have never been closer to jumping to IOS in my life and I have been with android since my first droid. I'm hoping someone reads these posts and makes some program changes, but I will not hold my breath waiting for that to happen.

And now, I'm having problems with the visual voicemail.
