Just got another update 200mb in size (unlocked AT&T). I will assumed it is January security patch. What is this talk about ESIM enabled? is something baked into the Android 12?

Virtual sim like pixels and iphones, they mentioned it would come in Android 12 update but Samsung is Samsung lol , my Note20U has it in beta 12 at the moment

So it's a software thing. I'm updating ATT variant N20U right now and I will see if this feature is enable. Is that under about software to verify?

The carrier version probably getting this , it under settings >connection >sim card manager

Yeah still waiting on update as well. It's pretty brutal because I have the pixel6 pro as my other phone and I'm also waiting for that to update. Jesus!

Yeah, it's confirmed my carrier version of N20/N20U eSIM enabled. And Fold 3 is not (Unlocked)

Also just got the January security update on my Unlocked ZF3 on ATT.

Does anyone on this forum know why is T-Mobile so late in releasing Android 12 and when will they finally release the software?
This is crazy.

Probably cause they bout as slow as trying to order a phone thru their website cause it never loads. Lol. I have them as a like a trail period cause Verizon 5g don't work in my area and t-mobile does but dang their site and app is crap. That's ok I'll stick to buying unlocked lol. My unlocked fold 3, flip 3 and note10+ are on the android 12 beta. Just waiting for the official update. But got the beta when I was using Verizon. Only have one phone on Verizon right now lol. Hope it comes soon.

So, not sure if I understand. Samsung has released the Android 12 One UI 4.0 in the US. But, we Tmobile users with unlocked fold z3's have no update and still on the November security. I thought unlocked phones update directly from Samsung, but it appears that Tmobile controls the update process. Am I wrong? Thanks in advance!

Yeah Samsung does push it out to unlock version but once the carrier certifies it . If its available for unlocked say Verizon or XAA i would flash it with Odin , takes 10 minutes.

Thanks for clearing that up, I appreciate it! I've used Odin on my N20U and it worked well. Same process on the Fold? I had problems with no one hearing me on phone calls and tmobile worked some majic in the background while the phone was shut off for 5 minutes. My concern with flashing with Odin is will this problem come back if it's ot tmobile certified? Thanks!

No problem, yeah same process use XAA region(unlocked) and Frija tool much easier .
Its hard to say if you will experience or not , im surprised TMO helped with Unlocked version , carrier tend to look at them as its not their device not their problem. I personally think you'll be fine and i would flash it
