Android 13 Beta 3

Anyone else using Nova launcher on Beta 4? I like it

Yes I’m using the newest nova on the latest android beta 4. I like it a lot and more than the older nova 7. I did have something weird happen tho when I was sim swapping to another phone, my pixel 4a I noticed several apps in a folder had missing icons, just blank shapes. Also the app drawer was completely blank, no icons at all. I rebooted a couple of times and no change. Was headed to bed and when I woke up all was back to normal. Beta quirkiness no doubt. Nova 8 is a nice upgrade.

I would agree as I too am using the new 8.01 beta of nova launcher

Interesting. I'm still on 7 even though I'm in the beta program for Nova. No 8 for me yet.

What am I doing wrong? I signed up yesterday for the Nova beta. I have the paid version 2021 of Nova Launcher Prime and the basic launcher says version 7.0.57. I have no updates available. When I go to the Play Store, it says I am a beta tester. When I click on the beta version in the Play Store to open, it does nothing. What step have I missed? I'm on beta 4 of Android 13.

You're doing nothing wrong. They haven't released a beta through the app store yet. It's more of a "pre" beta that is available. If you want to try it there's a link a few posts above.

Still getting random wifi drops. Anyone else?

I’ve noticed random WiFi drops occasionally on my 4A. However, they don’t last and reconnect fairly quickly. I only notice if I’m looking at the phone at the time and see the WiFi bars disappear. The LTE picks up immediately so I have no interruption of service. It’s definitely not related to the beta in my case as it has done this from day one. My pixel 2 used to do the same thing.

I use a USB cable to connect my P6 Pro to my 2018 Chevy Equinox for Android Auto. All works well and my phone screen mirrors on the vehicle screen very well. Since one of the beta updates, my phone screen no longer goes to sleep while connected using Android Auto. So now, I risk screen burnin if I use. AA for extended periods of time. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Downloading the beta now. I've read repeatedly that the Pixel 6 doesn't run as hot on 13. Fingers crossed.
