I will not join this beta... I will not join this beta.. that's what I have to keep telling myself. Too much broken.

I will never join a beta on my daily driver. I've never done an OS beta, but have done a few app betas.

I have my P5 running the beta also but not having too many issues with my daily P7P. I was miserable when I did the 10 beta as hardly any apps worked. But since then I've had no issues that would negate using them on my daily. Ymmv obviously, but the issues I'm having so far are more minor annoyances than inability to function.

Yeahhh.. I don't mind app beta's. Those are easy to rollback from in most cases. I did one OS beta on Android and never again.

I haven't had any issues with this build except for a loss of carrier function at first. I toggled the SIM off then on and it connected. No problems after that.

I see a lot of comments on Reddit about the Many problems people are having. I don't understand it. I don't use every function so maybe I have missed a few.

As always, if you are not comfortable messing with your phone don't join the Beta and never on your daily driver.

I don't follow my own advice and it has bitten me pretty bad in the past. I was always able to figure it out or wait until another update while using a backup phone.

Remember, it's on you and Google is your friend.

The only major issue I had was unstable cellular signal. More times than not I had zero signal. I tried everything and could have just carried one of my other phones, but decided to just revert to stable for now and go at it again when beta2 gets released.

Same here. Cellular is almost unusable.bluemailnalso won't launch. I may have to revert.

I’m not that adventurous, I like my stuff to work, so I wait.

Too old and crabby for things that don’t work right or only work intermittently.

Looked everywhere and cannot find clear calling on this beta. Also wifi calling cannot be enabled. Thoughts?

One more item I found missing in the beta is Smart Lock. Hopefully this comes back next update.

Adding to this android auto not working. However unless someone else confirms theirs not working also, it could be only my phone. I've had issues before this beta also.

UPDATE: it's my phone. Something with my cable. I can connect wirelessly but not wired.

Otherwise no major issues with the beta

not really sure what the point of this beta is unless they just want people to report whats broken, and I mean broken in regular features as there's nothing new to see here.

noticed small change in battery usage menu - it now shows a drop down to pick system vs app.

please don't, this is a very early beta and I am having lot of connection problems, delayed SMS, etc.

So how’s this early beta treating everyone brave enough to try it? My pixel 7 is pretty laggy on it and annoying enough to cause me to switch to another device. (glad this isn’t my only phone) I’ll wait for the next beta to look for improvements.

I'm pretty sure beta 14 messed my modem firmware up. My signal strength since coming back to official hasn't been as strong as it used to be and shotty signal was why I dropped out of beta ATM

Sorry to hear that Beta 1 didn't work for you. Mine is fine. They will probably fix your connection problems in the next Beta OTA.

Yeah, usually I can hang with it but it was pretty bad this time so I just caved and reverted.

Android Auto working fine here on my Pixel 7 Pro connected to my 2021 Mustang Mach 1 both wirelessly and wired.
My major gripe with this BETA is I get a lot of delayed SMS. Something is up with the cellular signal.

So I decided to give it another go. There are 3 strange quirks I'm going to call it.

1st quirk is the display of network connection as in the 5guc or LTE. There simply is none, although there is connection and does display bars and that is all it displays. I still get a ! On the bars occasionally not often but sometimes.

The other minor quirk when I go back to the home screen it's blank until I swipe back one more time.

And I guess the 3rd is the battery on screen time. It doesn't start tracking until the battery drains out off 100% .. so digital wellbeing has 20+ more minutes tracked on the on screen time category than the battery detail screen. Not a huge deal as I only half pay attention to it but still.

**EDIT**
I will say the 2nd issue only happens if I am using Nova Launcher not the Pixel Launcher.


Also, screen doesn't turn off when charging. I have to end up pushing the power button to get it to turn off.
