Android 2.3 Gingerbread EI22 latest build WITH IMAGE

Sweet. I'm still stock (waiting for stable ICS flash) and have encountered some locking and a self reboot recently. I find that these issues usually happen when I'm switching the radio from WiFi to 4G, and on/off. My GPS actually works better than Froyo. So hopefully these are recognized bugs being worked on.

I also hope they will remove some/all of the CIQ stuff.

I might be the only one that likes EI22, my phone improved since the update and could not be happier.

AWESOMENESS!!!

Keyboard issue? Is there something that I missed, what issue is there with the keyboard on EI22?

If you use the slide out keyboard (at least since Froyo), you can't type too fast or letters will be skipped. The fix "fixes" that finally.

Have there been any newer builds? I'd like to hope that a fix is coming for the issues that EI22 introduced.

My epic prompted me to update OTA awhile ago. I still have the slideout keyboard missing keystrokes issue, and worthless/freezing GPS issue**.

I checked today for system updates in the settings menu and it tells me no updates are available.

I thought the latest update was supposed to fix those issues, so my question is, do I not have the latest update, or did the latest update not actually fix anything?

My stats:

Firmware 2.3.5
Baseband S:D700.0.5S.EI22
Kernel 2.6.35.7
Build Number GINGERBREAD.EI22
Hardware Version D700.0.5

**If it helps, the GPS issue is that it works fine after pulling the battery, but only so long as I keep google maps up and keep the phone from going idle. If the screen goes blank/idle, or I leave google maps to use another app, when I go back to google maps it tries to tell me I am in some random location within a mile of where I was (with a large blue circle around the arrow), and the arrow gets stuck in that spot and never moves.

It sounds like you just got the Gingerbread OTA recently. There is no other update yet. The issues you are describing are common to the GB update: GPS only locking 4 satellites and locking up Navigation, and the Keyboard-skipping-keys. The GPS/Nav issue didn't exist in Froyo, but the keyboard problem did. If you want to fix these things you will have to root and flash the kernel fixes that other people have developed (until Samsung/Sprint decides to release an official update). If you want to do that you will need to do some searching and reading on this forum to do...All of this has been discussed and posted many many times. ;)

any info of the new build what different about it. did they fix the bugs GB brought or just the removal of CarrierIQ.
