Hi,
Do you know when will the galaxy s3 receive the 4.3 update ?? It a bit confusing to me because Google keeps updating their software really fast and companies can't handle it , like in the 4.2 update that never came out because the 4.3 is coming out, and now the 4.4 is also coming out so Samsung will skip the 4.3 again ???

According to rumor, the release for 4.3 is supposed to be this month. However, since there are only a few days left, I am not so sure that is true.

I guess Google is doing this so companies will use their stock android and then unify the software for all devices.

Depends on your carrier but there was a leak that suggested anywhere from November 6th (If you're on Sprint) to November 25th (If you're on T-Mobile) :)

This is really messy, not like iOS, and why carriers take much time to change the boot logo that's what they do in the end :(

Actually, I wish that's all they did. They do both the physical and boot loader customizations, but they also put on a bunch of carrier bloatware as well. Also, there are a lot of people involved in delaying the upgrades. Google creates the core code, Samsung adds their 'customizations' (read: bloatware), Carrier adds it's bloatware (I won't even dignify these as customizations), then the devices are released. There is also a bit of hardware and radio testing that occurs on these devices, but those happen with all devices (including iOS) so that can't count in this discussion.

Unfortunately by buying a non-nexus device, that's our choice because we already bought into the idea of someone customizing our phones.

I'd also point out that my 'international' non-carrier branded i9300 has no release date planned for the upgrade. I can't even blame a carrier for this delay. In fact, I'm not even sure why it's delayed since the carriers already have plans for a 4.3 release on the US branded S3's. :(

its from vodafone ireland if i'm not mistaken, is the exact same build that went out as official a couple of days ago.
