Google is by far a services business not a hardware business.
The Nexus 5 is being advertised on the Play Store with Lollipop, so I don't think Google is worried about people purchasing the N5 over the N6 because of Lollipop. I hope to see it very soon.

Hmm, I saw it over the weekend on the Play Store shown with Lollipop. Must have been immediately pulled.Where is it being advertised with Lollipop?
If I am wrong and you remember this, PM and I'll do something crazy like saying sorry and admitting my personal opinion was wrong on the internet.
That information has not been made available. I'm with you, however, in thinking that you'll need to flash the 5.0 factory image if you are currently on the preview. You would be making Internet history!
On to something else, will devices running the Android L developer preview need to be manually flashed to the factory image? Or will they update OTA? I have a Nexus 7 with the preview, and I'm assuming I'll need to manually flash the official Lollipop ROM when it releases, but I don't know for sure.
