I received the OTA for my Nexus 9 and Nexus 5X on 8/29. Not sure about my Nexus 6 as it is behind on a couple monthly updates.

You don't need to even flash. The way to get it by sign in to beta has been mentioned all over the place.

It's not worth losing everything. I'll just wait the painfully long wait time to get there OTA if it means not wiping my phone.

If you join the beta the only thing that happens is that the OTA warning shows up so there's no "losing everything" involved.

And, reportedly, no wipe for this version when you opt out of beta.

I felt the same way you did but after reading a few post on reddit they all said they didn't lose any data so I went for it joined beta program downloaded nougat 7.0 unenrolled out of beta program everything great (You Won't lose Any Of Ur Data) go for it man

It was at the little Android screen where it's abdomen is open and it just said error..
