Android 7.1.1 Beta WiFi issues

I don't have an issue with WiFi at home, but when I'm at a hotel and there's a sign on process, the window that comes up to sign on crashes the phone and I subsequently can't connect to the wifi.
Have any of you had this problem and is there a solution for it?
I like 7.1.1 way too much to go back Btw.. I can live without the wifi but I do watch a lot of YouTube and it would be nice..

That's how beta software works sometimes. Your going ti have ti factory reset and this bug eill go away and a new bug ir 2 will come. Or it might still crash, if thats the case tou have to unenroll to stable software

Yeah, I'm familiar with the beta thing. I just was wondering if there was a work around since I like all the other features too much to switch back.

There's a public wifi hotspot I use sometimes (Verizon Wireless free wifi) and they require a sign-in. It never seems to remember that I've connected and signed in before, but I think that's more because the network is designed that way. Regardless, it lets me sign in without issue.

I would suggest wiping the cache partition from recovery mode if you haven't tried that yet. Aside from that, do you have any apps which log you into hotspots automatically or affect your wifi at all? Could be a compatibility issue.

I just signed into an xfinity hot-spot without an issue. Don't know what would happen a second time. I have 5x.

I've seen the same problem on 7.1.1.

DP2 has fixed this issue for me.

I've experienced this issue, even with DP2. The fix for me was to go into Apps in Settings, show System Apps, then go to captiveportallogin. I cleared the cache and force closed. Then I was able to log in to the network at Starbucks.
