Android 7.1.2

I haven't gotten 7.1.2, and only got 7.1.1 by sideloading it. Didn't get the February or March update, either.

I have been running VPN software that blocks ads, trackers, etc. I'm wondering if the issue is that my phone is blocking the host(s) that would check for and/or deliver the updates. Does anyone know what hosts are used for this (besides simply "google.com")?

I'm still on 7.0 (Dec security patch). I didn't get 7.1.1 and I don't expect to get 7.1.2, unless I side load it. This is my first, and probably last, Google phone.

I have not gotten it yet and I am on the beta. Will we see the final build?

I would think we would, as I was thinking I got the stable build of 7.0 during beta, but who knows with Google. Remember they said the fingerprint swipe down couldn't be done due to hardware, but now it works...... Guess someone came in the middle of the night and changed out my fingerprint scanner?? Hopefully we will get the final version, as I'm thinking of leaving beta, but with O so close maybe I'll stay in.

I'm also on 7.1.2 via the beta program and haven't received the final build via OTA yet. I went to sideload over the weekend, and I got an error message saying that it couldn't overwrite my current build with an earlier version. The final build that's available via the official Google site is N2G47H, while the beta build (the one I'm on now) is N2G47I. Not sure what this means...

That's strange. I'm wondering if we opt out of the beta, we will get the final build?

do you have N2G or NPG?

Beta or stable, is 7.1.2 running well on the 6P? Nothing crashing? No complaints?

I've got a (probably refurbished) 6P coming, could arrive this Friday, and I'm curious what updates it might receive out of the box. (And if I should even put a lot of faith in OTA updates; I gave up on those months ago for my Nexus 6.)

I've found the beta to be stable. Once in awhile it will freeze up, or an app will crash, but for the most part it's pretty solid. It's cool that in this new beta the fingerprint swipe gestures work now.

same here so I've install 5 apr patch (25.4MB) twice and have the notification to load beta 5march (1.3GB)

Yes, this just happened to me too. Very strange. I posted earlier that when I tried to sideload the OTA last weekend it wouldn't let me because it said that I couldn't sideload an earlier version of Android. And now this.

I just un-enrolled from the beta program after downloading the OTA of the stable version of 7.1.2 (N2G47H). I then powered off, went into recovery mode and cleared the cache. After all of that, it's no longer trying to get me to "update" to the beta version.
