Android 8.0 Oreo beta for Galaxy S8 - Unlocked (UK) Sprint & T-Mobile (US) only.

Yeah I'm a bit disappointed on both counts. Still the Samsung Apps still work fine but they have been updated for Oreo as well.

I tried the Samsung Music Player hoping it would hold me over until Poweramp gets updated but the app doesn't have any option (that I could find) to utilize the sd card! None of my library showed up and no setting to select the library's location.
Badcat, did you rescan and make sure all your music folders were checked? I'm assuming you did, but just in case. I'm up and running with Poweramp. No problems.

Also, I hate that some of you guys are having bad experiences. Especially Mary Beth. A phone with no service is unacceptable under any circumstance IMO.

Just wanted to say thanks to all of you for the info and support.
Still a sucker for beta programs so will hang tight and wait for a fix. :-)

Poweramp works fine after I reassign the library and do a rescan. The problem I'm having is it can't find the library after a reboot and I have to reassign and rescan again. Once assigned, it finds all my music and plays everything, no problem. Thanks though.

My sd card issue isn't a deal breaker but it is a pain. I've been trying other music players but I haven't been able to find one as good as Poweramp. At least I can use the Samsung file manager for the time being as Solid Explorer is useless. Still no response from the dev whom I've pinged multiple times.

On a positive note, Nine and Gmail notifications *seem* to be working again.

Update: Poweramp *might* be fixed as well. I tried clearing the apps cache and data again and it appears to have retained the music library's location over a reboot. Time will tell.

Anyone having issues with the proximity sensor? I've had this a few times, phone is in the pocket, rings, pull it out and there is a message about the proximity sensor and I can't pick up the call or do anything. Rebooting seems to fix for the interim.

Have not had that particular problem. Wish I could help.

Nope. I haven't seen that either.

Well, well...
Got home from work. Forgot that wifi auto-connects at home. By the time I'd started laundry and dinner, Beta 2 had downloaded. Same connection error and a "no sim" icon in notification bar.
Tried about 6 different things and after rebooting for the nth time, connection error disappeared.
Sad thing is that I don't even know exactly what I did to resolve it or if I simply lucked out...DUH.
Phone fully functional now.
Fingers crossed it stays this way.

Good for you. Glad it's good for now.

Re: Android 8.0 Oreo beta for Galaxy S8 - Unlocked (UK) Sprint & T-Mobile (US) only.

The third update is out. At least on Tmo.

Edit: Maybe not technically the third beta, rather a fix for the second beta.

Do you have it? Different version # or still ZQK6?
Makes me wonder if that's what downloaded for me tonight and maybe the reason my connection error was resolved.

I'm not seeing anything on my unlocked phone either. Do you mind posting a screenshot of the firmware from the about screen?
