I got the update for my z play yesterday

My wife's Verizon z play got the April security update today but no Oreo. So she has to wait another month.

It's getting to the point where it doesn't really matter anymore. The Z3's will be announced probably next month and that's where I'll be going for anyway

I have no desire to put a dot-zero of any update on my phone. That's just asking for trouble.

My phone had some Bluetooth issues ever since the last few security updates where I had to reboot the phone to fix it. Audio would get completely shunned after the connection was lost. So, once reconnected it wouldn't play sound neither through the phone speaker nor Bluetooth device. Only a tiny sound would go through the earpiece.
I had nothing to lose and gave this one a shot. Bluetooth issue gone.
So, far it's been amazing -
the phone feels smoother and snappier.
Battery is just the same. So, no complains here.
The major "issue" is the lack of support from ATT for VoLTE - HD Voice calling. So, every time I dial or receive a phone call I drop from LTE to HSPA which frequently gets me weaker signal and then I lose the phone call. a
And during calls, HSPA almost always makes my download speed so slow that is useless.

I'm new to the forum, but my Moto Z updated in either late April or early May to Android version:8.0.0, Current version:OPL27.76-51, Security patch level:March 1, 2018.

The only bug I have noticed in 8.0.0 is that one event in the calendar would not give a notification. The rest of the events were alarming as normal. I noticed that the only difference in the alarm that I didn't get a notification for was the only one set to notify me once at the time of the event. I changed the time for the event to 10 minutes later and set the notification to 10 minutes before the event. That fixed the problem.

Got 8.0 yesterday. Moto soak test for Verizon droids. But did nothing for my battery issue. So back to my Moto g6.
