I understand the reluctance of LG not providing specific dates, and carriers providing expected dates, but the lack of ANY bit of information is annoying.

Updates to the next major OS aren't important to everyone, but to merely know that a product is still a concern for LG and carriers would be nice.

I'm like, "Really LG, c'mon with it. Stop the BS. Your communication (or lack thereof with the G6 to Oreo) is what makes me say, never again."

The G7 ThinQ is scheduled for a May 2 debut. But I don't care how nice it is, it will probably get the same treatment this time next year. for that reason alone, I don't see any reason to get excited over the G7.

Yeah, aside from the Pixel, it's almost impossible to know what devices will get prompt attention.

I returned the LG G6, battery was trash, phone is gorgeous and exactly what i wanted except for the crap battery, maybe i got a defective device idk. I am back with my old phone lol.

battery has been solid on mine. when there was an issue, i was able to trace it to a particular app. once i removed said app, the battery returned to normal. as far as the update goes, tmobile usa is working on it currently, but does not have an ETA when it will be done. they have said, through their twitter device tester that the v30 should have oreo in a couple of weeks. maybe we will see oreo on the g6 within a similar time frame.

It always seems like they give priority to the latest and greatest by the given manufacturer...as opposed to those who have been waiting the longest. Unfortunate, but that's how it seems to work.

Battery is actually quite good. Its usually a silly app causing it. Sometimes, factory reset helps too

lg is terrible at updates. this is a pretty well known fact at this point and should be something you consider when buying their phones.
