Does anyone have coolwalk working yet? My phone upgraded to 8.6.625034, but the car still shows the old version.

From what I was reading, it seems that it is version 8.7.x that will have the update.

I'm excited for the update, but with reservations given how flaky AA can be already. I expect issues when I finally get it.

This article said it came with 8.6xxxx

"Though, we will not be surprised to see the company releasing the new UI in its upcoming I/O event in 2023. Talking about the version, the Coolwalk UI comes with v8.5.6245."

Granted it sounds like that sentence was written last year. There is another place on that site that says its in 8.7.

I was going by an article I had read from CES 2023 this year so only a couple days old, that said it would be in 8.7.

Has anyone gotten it yet? They sure are taking their time getting it out.

Just got another update 1/11, but still only from 8.6.625034 to 8.6.625054. :(

I don't know about cool walk . But I do know that AA updated over the weekend. The layout on my cars screen changed a little.

It was there for me this morning, even though not there late yesterday afternoon, and I am pretty sure I didn't have an apparent Android Auto update between.

My first reaction was "...why the heck is my head unit auto connecting again in priority to my wife's iPhone, and how is it doing that so far away from the house...".

My next reaction was (looking at the "for you widget" on the right) "...how did my wife get some of my music onto her iPhone...".

Literally, I thought an iPhone was connected to my head unit (there are a few of those in my family, that I periodically also see connected depending on who I have in the car with me). At first glance, it literally looked to me like CarPlay on the screen.

Doesn't yet seem to be a way to configure what the "for you widget" displays, in which case that might benefit from some tweaks. However, the rest of it seems to looks good. Still haven't fully checked it all out.

I got it yesterday afternoon as well. It wasn't there on my morning drive but I got in the car to go home and had it. I did manually install the latest beta APK a week ago but I don't think that had anything to do with it at all. Unfortunately I don't have the split screen option with Waze yet and honestly not sure if I will use it or not yet. I have a 2021 VW Jetta and it has an 8.0 inch standard display so it isn't wide screen or anything. I do like the refreshed look but overall doesn't seem to be too much different.

I'm still on version 8.6
But I have split view and pop up round icon option you can drag around

I had the update this morning when I drove to the office. Overall no issues during the approx 27 mile trip, but only used Google Maps and VLC for music. AA was suggesting albums, but I had no idea what app it was until it started playing. I'd really like to be able to dismiss the suggested destination panel when I'm not using navigation to make the music larger. I didn't have time to explore or play with the settings.
