Android Auto Coolwalk not working despite upgrade.

This is what I see so far.

Still nada for me. How do you all like having the buttons on the bottom of the screen vs the left side. I'd think tucked kind of out of the way over on the left side would have been better.

Too soon to tell for me. Along the left side might be easier to access??

If I had a wide screen, that would be fine, but the split screen map is already narrow enough on my Kenwood 7" head unit.

I previously only ever got one single "last app used" icon over on the bottom left. Now in the middle bottom, with the four or five "last apps used icons" it's better I think.

I don't seem to get two halves on the right like yours shows.

I just seem to get the map on the left side and the "for you widget/panel" on the right. Maybe I have to open more apps to see how they can populate the possible different split screens?

Would be nice if there was some sort of configuration settings for setting some apps preferred to certain different split screen widgets/panels

The suggested destinations at the top go away when you're using navigation, and they went away today on their own after a while. I still haven't looked at settings.

This what mine looks like...
That looks completely different than what mine looks like now after the AA "non"-update, or what mine looked like previously before the "non"-update. I guess everything is different depending on how the head unit manufactures implement AA? I didn't know that is how AA worked. I thought AA as implemented by head unit manufactures didn't really do much of anything other than draw on the screen what AA from the phone was sending, and therefore most of our screens in our vehicles would look very similar.

After the "non"-update, mine looks quite similar to that of grabber and kmf1, but apparently just different options for what gets put into the different split screen widgets.

Before the "non"-update, I had the single dot "home" icon like mustang has, but that was at the left and on a horizontal bottom bar, certainly not a vertically up and down bar at left.

Not sure if it makes a difference or not, but I use a USB-C cable to make Android Auto work in my 2018 Chevy Equinox. I can't connect wirelessly, that I know of.

I'm on 8.6 054 but to be honest I don't see any difference other than I can run my Google maps on my phone which I believe I couldn't do before AA was running
