Android Auto navigation does not work with my Galaxy S6

[AC Question]

I have a 2017 Hyundai Sante Fe that come with Android Auto. I am using a Samsung Galaxy S6. I have downloaded the app. Music works, voice works, text works only to send and Google maps only show my position and will not navigate. I have deleted and reloaded the app. The error I receive when using navigation is after several minutes of trying to find the destination it says CAN NOT CONNECT TO GOOGLE.
