Android Auto rapidly disconnects repeatedly

Head scratcher here for me. If anyone can help, it would be lovely.

My Galaxy 24+ was connecting to Android Auto without issue in my Kia Stonic 2 2017. Until this week. Now, when I plug in, it repeatedly flashes messages on the car screen showing "Reading USB Device" and then "Phone is not Responding" rapidly. It rapidly flickers between these two messages as in the images.

Nothing has changed this week to cause this. I have gone through multiple troubleshooting methods such as clearing cache, restarting phone, reinstalling apps and reviewing settings. Nothing helps.

I have tried multiple USB cables.

My wife's Z Flip 6 works without issue, using the same cables.

Please help?

Try these things:
1) Open Android Auto on your phone and delete the connection to your car. Do the same thing for the Bluetooth pairing (and delete the phone from the car if that is still in the list). Then reboot your phone and try to re-connect to your car with Android Auto. Does it initiate the set up process?

2) If that didn't work, try uninstalling and re-installing Android Auto (this helped me before when the phone was overheating with AA; known bug with the S24).

3) Try connecting the phone to a computer using an USB cable. Does that work? If not, the USB-C port may be damaged...

Thanks so much. Key point I missed was restarting the phone between unpairing, reinstalling and trying again. This worked. Thank you!
